Permanent Weight Loss Solution
There are a lot of people who try to lose weight, some will succeed and some will fail, however, the biggest battle for people who are successful in reducing their weight is often to maintain their ideal weight. Many people will find that they quickly regain the weight they had before continuing on the diet or that they are in fact fatter. Of course, it can be very depressing and can cause them to lose a lot of self-esteem. What is needed is a permanent solution to your weight problems.
There are obvious paths to take in the battle to lose weight. They would include increasing the amount of exercise and reducing the amount of food we eat. It is this dietary problem that can be the most difficult to control and reduce, as our temptations often take over.
In my opinion, what we need to do is turn our house into a fat free zone. If we are hungry and start looking in the cupboards and notice, for example, a packet of French fries, it can often be very difficult not to eat them. Our craving for instant food can get very big, and our inner demons try to convince us that wrapping won't hurt. If that packet of crisps hadn't been in the cupboard, they wouldn't have put us in that tempting position and, of course, we couldn't have eaten them.
A few years ago, when I started losing my own excess weight, I decided to take out of every closet all the food I knew I had to stop eating. I also eliminated certain drinks, such as alcoholic drinks, which also contributed to my weight problems. I threw all the take out menus I had in the trash and basically tried to make it as difficult as possible for me to eat or drink anything that I shouldn't.
When I was away from home I had to be determined to stick to my diet and not be tempted to buy these items in stores etc. It was not easy to do because I am a person who loves all these fatty foods.
At my weekly grocery store, I bought a lot more fruits and vegetables and was surprised how quickly my taste buds started to change. Soon I wanted to eat an apple as an example and the weight slowly but steadily started to drop.
After several months, I reached a weight that I was happy with. My wife said now she can start eating things like dry roasted peanuts, it was one of my favorites. Maybe that was true, but it could easily lead to a return to my old bad habits and, of course, weight issues. I decided to stick with fruit and my cupboards still don't have those foods that I love to eat but are not good for my weight.
